Sri Jagadguru Veda Parayana Trust is organizing its 11th Sankara Jayanthi Mahotsava Celebrations at Sri Ayodhya Aswameda Mahamandapam, Arya Gowda Road, West Mambalam, Chennai - 33 from 9 to 18 May 2010. Krishna Yajurveda Jata Parayanam, Chaturveda Parayanam and Prastaanatraya Bhasya Parayanam will take place everyday from 7 am to 7 pm. Special abhishekam will be performed to Sri Adi Sankara from 14th to 18th at 6 pm. Various homams are being organized everyday at 8 am. Upanyasas and Sankeertanams will take place every evening from 7 to 9 pm.

On the 18th, Sri Adi Sankara's statue will be taken in procession with bhajans, Vedam and mangala vadyam round the adjacent streets.
